1. Data we collect

Account data: your name, business name, email, mobile number, GSTIN and billing details.
Customer data you add: names, phone numbers, addresses, electricity bill details, consumer numbers and site photos of your customers.
Usage data: pages visited, device and browser type, IP address and actions taken in the app.
Payment data: transaction references from our payment partner. We do not store full card numbers.

2. How we use it

to provide the service, generate documents and send messages you ask us to send;
to bill you and keep tax records;
to give support and send service updates;
to keep the service secure and prevent misuse;
to improve features using aggregated, non-identifying usage data.

We do not sell personal data or use your customers' data for our own marketing.

3. Your customers' data

For data about your customers, your business decides why and how it is used, and solar8n processes it on your behalf. You are responsible for having a valid reason and any consent needed to add customer data and contact customers through solar8n.

4. Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers who help us run solar8n, under contracts that require them to protect it:

cloud hosting and storage providers;
payment gateways for subscription and invoice payments;
messaging providers for WhatsApp, SMS and email;
integrations you switch on, such as accounting software.

We may also disclose data where required by law or a valid order from a government authority.

5. Storage and security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited by role, logged and reviewed. Data is stored in [data storage location].

6. How long we keep data

We keep account data while your account is active. After closure, data is deleted within 90 days unless we need to keep it longer for tax, legal or accounting reasons.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to act for you. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and analytics cookies to understand how the website is used. You can block cookies in your browser, but some features may stop working.

9. Children

solar8n is a business service and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Grievance officer
